Escape to the serene hilltops of the Western Algarve for five transformative nights of yoga. Nestled in the charming village of Praia da Luz, AltaVista Lodge offers views of the Atlantic Ocean and easy access to Europe’s most picturesque coastline.
AltaVista Lodge, is just a 15-minute walk to the beach, between Sagres and Lagos and is perched above the village with sweeping ocean views. It’s the perfect blend of tranquillity and adventure, with nearby surf beaches and coastal trails waiting to be explored.
Our open-air yoga shala invites sunset stillness. Between sessions, unwind in the indoor bubble pool, dip into the outdoor pool, or melt into the warmth of the infrared sauna. Hammocks sway in our oceanfront garden, perfect for journaling, napping, or simply being.
Each meal served twice daily is a celebration of nourishment. Our vegetarian menu is lovingly prepared by our private chef from Basil Algarve—fresh, vibrant, and deeply satisfying.
Expect daily yoga, breathwork and meditation, soulful connection, and plenty of time to explore, reflect, and restore. The house is fully ours for the week, and every detail is designed to support your journey inward.

Each day is thoughtfully curated to balance movement, stillness, nourishment, and connection, offering a blend of activity and relaxation.
We begin each morning with a Bikram-style yoga practice to energise both body and mind, followed by a nourishing brunch to refuel and refresh.
The afternoon invites spaciousness—time to explore the surrounding areas, soak up the sun, unwind, book one of the many activities on offer in the area or simply relax by the pool.
Late afternoon there is the opportunity to dive deeper into your practice with an engaging workshop or posture clinic, tailored to support your growth.
As evening arrives, we gather for a gentle, grounding yoga session to settle and restore, followed by a wholesome dinner shared in good company.
You’ll end your day with the option to connect with fellow guests during community time, or slip into peaceful solitude to reflect and recharge.

Each of our rooms is designed with your comfort in mind, featuring an ensuite bathroom and direct access to the poolside. From your room, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the shimmering pool, the rolling Monchique hills, or the breath taking Algarve coastline. FAQS
Do I need to be experienced in yoga?
Not at all! This retreat is open to all levels — from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Every session is guided with care and tailored to meet you where you are.
What should I bring?
Comfortable yoga clothes, a yoga towel, swimwear, a journal, hiking shoes (trainers) and a reusable water bottle. Mats and props are provided, but feel free to bring your own if preferred. A detailed packing list will be sent to you after booking.
How do I get to AltaVista Lodge?
The nearest airport is Faro (FAO), about 1 hour away. I’ll send detailed travel info and can help coordinate shared transfers.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many guests come solo and leave with new friends. This is a welcoming space for connection and self-discovery.
Are meals vegetarian or vegan?
Meals are mostly vegetarian with vegan options available. Please let us know any dietary needs when booking.
What is the check-in/check-out time?
Check-in begins at 3pm on the first day, and check-out is by 12pm on the final day
Are activities optional?
Absolutely—participation is entirely up to you. Every activity is optional, so feel free to engage as much or as little as you wish. This is your retreat, designed to honour what feels most nourishing and authentic for you.
What’s the cancellation/refund policy?
Retreats are non-refundable. The first payment is a non-refundable deposit. Other payments will only be refunded if your cancelled place is refilled.
In the unlikely event that the retreat must be cancelled or rescheduled, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made.
